Vivo is planning to launch the next big smartphone in the market. Dubbed Vivo X90S, the phone has appeared on TENAA and Google Play Console marking its imminent release in China. Cut to now, we have some key specifications coming from a tipster that puts differentiation between the offerings.
According to tipster Bald Panda, the Vivo X90S will have an incremental upgrade over X90. Here, the X90 sports a Dimensity 9200 SoC clocked at 3.05GHz while the X90S will likely get a Dimensity 9200 Plus SoC at 3.35GHz. Vivo X90 is at the current-gen Wi-Fi 6 while the X90S will get upgraded to Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.
There have been a few leaks since. For instance, Vivo’s VP and GM of Product Jia Jingdong hinted that the X90S will have a design similar to the X90 series. The image shows the rear design in its whole glory. It shows a white-colored finish with rounded corners and a Zeiss-powered circular triple rear camera. It appears to have a glass back as you can see in the image above.
According to its TENAA listing, the phone will sport a 6.78” curved AMOLED FHD+ resolution. There’s an under-the-display fingerprint scanner on board. The phone likely packs in a 32MP front and an array of triple rear cameras consisting of a 50MP primary with OIS, 12MP ultrawide, and a 12MP telephoto.
The device packs in up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM with up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. You’ll get a 120W fast charging tech onboard powering the 4,810mAh battery pack in a jiffy.
