Gone are the days when plastic used to dominate the proceedings as far as the body of smartphones is concerned. Now, even the budget range has more than a few handsets that sport metal with elan.

Nowadays, options are available a plenty that take off the near same premium look that was earlier the hallmark of the flagships, and provide the same level of finishing and finesse as those, without cutting a hole in your pocket as deep.

What we have done here is compiled a list of metal sporting smartphones under the Rs. 11,000 price tag that you can have a look at, should you be in the mood to get a device clad in metal, and are on a budget.

Redmi Note 4

One of the hottest selling smartphones of this year, this one needs no introduction. What you get with the Note 4 (apart from the metal body, that is) is a device sporting the Snapdragon 625 chipset, 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM (talking about the second-highest variant here), 13MP and 5MP (back and front, respectively) cameras, as well as a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

There’s also a 4GB RAM/64GB ROM variant of the phone also available, if you are willing to shell out a bit more.

Lenovo K6 Power

The K6 Power fits the bill for someone who is looking for a compact handset exceeding expectations in the sub-10K price range. Apart from the metal clothing, you get a Snapdragon 430 processor, 3gigs of RAM, a 13MP/8MP camera unit for the back/front, a 5-inch HD display, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Just like the Note 4, this one is also available in a 4GB RAM variant, which would, obviously, cost a little extra.

Redmi 4

Another popular smartphone out of Xiaomi’s artillery, the Redmi 4 also joins the list of smartphones featuring a metal unibody. The specifications here include a 5-inch HD display with 2.5D glass layered on top, Snapdragon 435 SoC, a maximum of 4GB RAM, and a 4,100mAH battery.

It is worthwhile to mention here that all the three variants (2GB/3GB/4GB RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB ROM) of the phone are priced in the budget range only.

Moto E4 Plus/ E4

The latest offerings from Moto too find a place in our list of phones sporting a metal body, and are largely battery-centric devices that have Android 7.1 Nougat, 2GB RAM, quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processors, and rapid charging facilities as the notable specifications.

Coming to the differences, the E4 Plus has a 5.5-inch screen while the E4 has a 5-inch one. Also, the E4 Plus’ 13MP rear camera tops the E4’s 5MP rear-snapper.

Coolpad Cool 1 Dual

Probably the cheapest phone out yet that features a twin-lens (13MP) RGB + monochrome setup at the back, and comes out featuring a Snapdragon 652 chipset, a 5.5-inch Full HD display, 32GB ROM, a 4,000mAH battery with fast charging, as well as a 3GB RAM. Complying with the rest of the samrtphones in this list, the Cool 1 Dual also comes clad in a metal body.
