This Rs. 7,299 Smartphone Offers 256GB Storage Along With A 6.6-inch Screen: iTel A70

iTel has launched another budget smartphone in the country. The iTel A70 is not just any other affordable phone but the first one to offer 256GB of internal storage in the segment. Other highlights include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a large 5,000 mAh battery, and a 6.6-inch screen. Here’s everything to know about the new smartphone.

The handset features symmetrical bezels on three sides on the front, with a relatively thicker bezel on the bottom. To house the front camera, the smartphone also has a water-drop notch. Notably, the rear panel’s finish and the available colors give the smartphone a slightly upmarket feel.

On the rear panel, there’s the rectangular camera module at the top left and the word “Awesome” written at the bottom left. While the right frame features the power/volume buttons, the USB-C port and the speaker grill are located at the bottom. The device is available in four colors: Field Green, Azure Black, Brilliant Gold, and Starlish Black.

The handset has a large 6.6-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution (720 x 1,612 pixels). It supports a touch sampling rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 500 nits. Under the hood, the phone runs on the Unisoc T603 SoC paired with 4GB of physical RAM and 8GB of virtual RAM. In terms of storage, the device provides three options: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.

On the rear panel, the smartphone houses a 13MP camera sensor, while users get an 8MP selfie shooter on the front. Powering the smartphone is a 5,000 mAh battery that charges via a USB-C port. Additional features of the smartphone include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, optical face unlock, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The smartphone will run on Android 13 Go edition out of the box.

The base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage costs Rs. 6,299. Meanwhile, the 128GB and 256GB storage models are available for Rs. 6,799 and Rs. 7,299, respectively. Interested people can buy the smartphone from Amazon on January 5, 2024, at 12 noon.
