Even though Samsung released a couple of new Galaxy AI features, with the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 as compelling reasons to get the new foldables, we were convinced these features would make it to older devices. Now, a post on Samsung’s Korean community forum has laid out a list of the AI-based features that are coming to older smartphones from the company. As mentioned in our comparison posts between the Fold 6/Fold 5 and Flip6/Flip5, the new Galaxy AI features will be available on 2023’s foldables and a couple of other lineups.

List Of Galaxy AI Features Coming To Older Models
- The Auto Zoom feature released with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be available on Flip 5. It recognizes subjects and automatically adjusts the zoom ratio with the help of AI and the 50MP primary camera.
- The Flex Camcorder feature, which allows users to open the phone 90 degrees and use it as a camcorder, will soon be available to the Z Flip 5.
- The Instant Slowmo feature, which lets users convert any video to a slow-motion video, will be available on older models like the Galaxy Z Fold 5/Flip 5, the Galaxy S23 series, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series.
- The Portrait Studio feature that allows users to edit their pictures in a stylized manner will be available to older models like the Z Fold 4/Flip 4, Z Fold 5/Flip 5, Galaxy S22 series (and newer), Galaxy S23 FE and the Galaxy Tab S8/S9 series.

- The Sketch To Image feature, which lets users convert rough sketches to good-looking drawings, will be available on the aforementioned devices, too.
- The Live Effect feature, which adds a sense of depth and motion to a still picture, will also be available on the said models.
- The Motion Clipper feature that helps create GIFs using motion pictures also comes to a wider array of Galaxy devices mentioned above.
- The Overlay Translation feature that displays translated text over the original image (similar to how translation works on Google Lens) will also be available to older Galaxy smartphones.
- Last but not least, Samsung will also roll out Expert RAW support for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 models.
