Srikant Tiwari will be back. Yes, you heard it right, Raj and DK’s much acclaimed Manoj Bajpayee starrer ‘The Family Man’ will be back for its 3rd instalment very soon. The Family Man Season 3 is one of the most awaited webs series for 2023 where Manoj Bajpayee will return as Srikant Tiwari to save the nation as well as balance being a family man simultaneously.
Like the last two seasons, the 3rd one too will see a new threat to the nation and some new personal challenges to be overcome. Let us have a look at what we know about the Family Man Season 3 so far-
The Family Man Season 3: Release Date
Lead actor Manoj Bajpayee recently shared a video via his Twitter account that created frenzy on social media as it seemed like an announcement for the season 3 of Family Man. He said- “Iss Holi, aapki family ke liye aa raha hoon, apni family lekar,” This seemed like the Family Man season 3 would release on Holi, but later it was confirmed that the tease for a movie called ‘Gulmohar’ that will stream on Disney+Hotstar.
This means that the wait for the 3rd season of family man would be slightly longer. The first season was released in September 2019 whereas the 2nd one came out in June 2021. If the release pattern is anything to go by, the release date for the 3rd season should be out in next few months.
The Family Man Season 3: Trailer & where to stream
While the 3rd season has been confirmed, the teaser or trailer is yet to be unveiled. The trailer will be out on YouTube after the release date gets confirmed. It will stream on OTT giant Amazon Prime Video.
The Family Man Season 3: Cast
The lead cast from the previous 2 seasons is expected to remain the same. Manoj Bajpayee as Srikant Tiwari, Shaarib Hashmi as sidekick JK Talpade, Priyamani as Srikant’s wife Suchittra Tiwari, Ashlesha Thakur as Dhriti, Vedant Sinha as Atharv and Sharad Kelkar as Arvind will reprise their roles.
Actors like Samatha Prabhu, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Sunny Hinduja will not be a part of this season while others will make an entry in supporting and villainous roles. Dalip Tahil as Kulkarni and Neeraj Madhav as Moosa might be back as well, but there’s no confirmation about these two.
The Family Man Season 3: Expectations
The ending of season 2 confirmed that season 3 will focus on Covid 19 pandemic and China’s role in it. It will be a unique kind of defence against an unknown and invisible terrorist this time. On the family side, it will be interesting to see how Srikant deals with his wife and kids when stuck at home in the lockdown. Chaos and hilarious sequences are expected to make the core of the storyline.
The Family Man Seasons 1 & 2: Recap
The Family Man Seasons 1 and 2 saw a middle-class undercover agent Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) who works for a special cell of the National Investigation Agency (TASC). The series follows Tiwari as he tries to balance his job and personal life including his responsibilities to his family and his duty to his country. While season 1 saw Tiwari trying to ward off a terrorist attack, season 2 saw him fighting rebel groups to protect India.
The Family Man X Farzi: Raj and DK verse expected?
Raj and DK recently came up with Farzi on Amazon Prime. The series marks the OTT debut of Shahid Kapoor and has Vijay Sethupathi, Raashi Khanna and Kay Kay Menon in important roles. While Farzi is being watched and loved by everyone alike, there has been a strong public demand to have a crossover for Farzi and Family Man in future.
Farzi has appearences from various characters of Family Man, which has made the possibility of a crossover between the two even more stronger. Farzi Season 1 has seen interesting cameos from Ajit, Puneet, and the very favorite Chellam Sir. There is a narration from Srikant Tiwari as well. Farzi’s Michael (Sethupathi) and Srikant Tiwari are supposedly old pals with both shows taking place within the same canonical universe. Since the family man season 3 is already in production, we might see a hint towards Farzi season 2 as well when family man’s season 3 releases.
