Sony Xperia XA2 Features (Expected)

This isn’t the first time the Xperia XA2 has been leaked online. In fact, the phone was first spotted SIRIM certification site and then on GFXBench under the model name Sony H4233. Going to the listing, the Xperia XA2 Ultra will come with a Snapdragon chipset and not a Mediatek one.

According to the leaks, the Xperia XA2 will feature Sony’s traditional ‘boxie’ design. Just like its predecessor, Xperia XA1, it will have huge thick bezels flanking its display, but there will be two symmetrically mounted cameras on the front. The details of which aren’t clear as of now.

Sony has revamped the rear panel of Xperia XA2, though. The camera-placement is in the middle, rather than being top-aligned, and just below the rear sensor, we have a fingerprint sensor.

The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 630 processor clocked at the speed of 2.2GHz integrated with Adreno 508GPU. As you may remember, the Xperia XA1 Ultra was powered by MediaTek Helio P20 and its previous generation by MediaTek Helio P10. Apart from that, the smartphone is said to run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. Reports also suggest that the Sony will skip the stereo speakers in the XA2 Ultra.

Sony Xperia XA2 Availability

Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra is expected to be a mid-range phablet from Sony and could be launched at MWC 2018 in Barcelona. The phone will succeed the Xperia XA1 Ultra.
