Sony Unveils HT-S40R Soundbar for Rs. 28,990 in India

Sony has launched the HT-S40R soundbar for an immersive surround sound experience at home. Soundbar has been priced at Rs. 28,990 for the Indian market.

Sony claims that for a good audio experience, there is a combination of a soundbar, subwoofer, and wireless rear speakers with a 600W sound output. It offers a high-quality surround sound from a 5.1-inch soundbar, separate audio channels with Dolby Digital. There is a wireless amplifier to power the rear speakers so there are no wires between the front and the rear of your room to get in the way. The subwoofer and soundbar share a single power connection so that it can deliver cinema sound without any clutter or complexity.

To lessen the number of wires even more one can send audio to one’s home cinema system wirelessly with a Bluetooth supporting Sony Bravia TV. USB port can be used to plug and play from a USB memory stick. The soundbar also supports Bluetooth to stream music from your smartphone.

It is slim in looks with an ability to be mounted on the wall or kept on the table Its rear speakers can blend with your room by being wall mounted. Sony states the device doesn’t need any tedious installation process. You can plug it, wire up your main bar speaker using color-coded connections, and connect rear speakers via the wireless amplifier. Its HDMI arc lets you connect to compatible TVs with a single cable thus avoiding clutter. It can also be connected to your TV by using optical input or analog input. It has certain different modes like Cinema Mode, Music Mode, Voice Mode, and Night mode to suit audio as per your needs.
