The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor has been making headlines for a long time now. In a recent development, the chipset has made its appearance on two well know benchmarking websites. According to the stats shared via these benchmarks, we can expect a serious upgrade in the SoC as compared to its predecessor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which made its debut in November 2023. A report by Notebookcheck mentioned that the upcoming processor would consist of one prime core coupled with five performance cores and two efficiency cores.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 benchmarking scores

The same post comprises screenshots of AnTuTu and Geekbench listing on the platform. Going by the shared details, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scored 2,563 in the single-core tests and 7,256 in the multi-core tests. The GPU test score of the processor was around 8,621 points. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor scored around 1,712,271 on AnTuTu.

Apart from that, popular tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that the snapdragon 8 Gen 3 would include an advanced Cortex-X4 prime core with a clock speed of 3.7GHz. These claims already point towards the processor’s high-level performance that we will see in the future.
However, the information shared above is not from an official source. So, all the users are suggested to take the information with a grain of salt. A few details regarding the processor have still not been revealed. Chances are that we will get to know more about the same after an official announcement by Qualcomm.

As of now, we are skeptical about the usage of the processor in the upcoming smartphones. Nonetheless, expectations are that it will be seen in flagship devices from brands like OnePlus, iQOO, Oppo, and more.
