Smartphones launching in India in April 2022

April has begun and the smartphone giants are all set to roll out a number of new devices this month. These include flagship smartphones to mid-range affordable devices. Here is a list of 14 smartphones that are confirmed (or almost confirmed) to be arriving in April 2022

1. Samsung Galaxy M33 5G

Launch Date- 2nd April 2022

Samsung is all set to launch a mid-ranger in the form of Galaxy M33 5G in India. The device comes with Exynos 1280 chipset, Android 12, and a 6000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. It will have a 6.6-inch display with a quad-camera setup on the rear. Its price starts at Rs. 15,999 and it is expected to come in Dark Blue, Khaki Green, and Brown colors. 2. Realme GT 2 Pro

Launch Date- 7 April

Months after launching it in China and then globally, Realme is bringing its newest flagship Realme GT 2 Series which includes GT 2 and GT 2 Pro devices to India. It will come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, a 50000mAh battery, and 65W fast charging.

The device will have a triple camera setup at the rear with a 50MP main sensor. It will have a 32MP selfie camera as well and run Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0. The phone will have a unique design made of a paper-like material which is claimed to be the world’s first sustainable design. It is expected to be priced at around Rs. 62,000 in India and come in 3 colors.

3. Oppo F21 Pro Series

Launch Date- 12Th April 2022

Oppo is also bringing 2 new budget smartphones which will make the Oppo F21 Pro Series. The series has one 4G and one 5G device with premium specs at an affordable price. Oppo F21 Pro has an industry-leading FibreGlass Leather design and will come in 3 colors- Black, Orange, and Rainbow. It will be priced starting at Rs. 22,00 and will go all the way up to around 28,000. 4. Motorola Moto G22

Launch Date- 8 April

Moto G22 launched globally a month back but now it has been spotted on certification websites which makes its India launch imminent. Moto G22 has a boxy design with a 6.5-inch HD+ screen, 90Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Helio G37 SoC with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

It packs a 5000mAh battery and has a quad-camera setup at the back. The camera setup includes a 50MP main lens. As per its global price, the India price is expected to be somewhere around Rs. 15,000.

5. Realme 9 4G

Launch Date- 7 April

After launching the 5G model in this series, Realme is planning to launch the vanilla 4G smartphone in the 9 series in India. it will have a 108MP main camera sensor and up to 8GB RAM. It will have a 90Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 1000 nits peak brightness, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It will be 7.9mm thick and weigh 178 grams.

Realme 9 4G will come in 3 colors- Sunburst Gold, Meteor Black, and Stargaze White. Since it is a 4G model, it might be priced at around Rs. 15,000.

6. Xiaomi 12 Pro

Launch Date- 27 April

Xiaomi is also bringing its flagship smartphone to the Indian market to make it compete with the likes of the iPhone 13, iQOO 9 Pro, and OnePlus 10 Pro. Xiaomi 12 Pro has been a part of the Xiaomi 12 Series that launched in China earlier. For now, India will only get Xiaomi 12 Pro, but it remains to be seen if the other devices from the series also make their way to India in the coming months.

Xiaomi 12 Pro has a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and MIUI 13 based on Android 12. It has a 50MP main camera and a 32MP selfie camera along with a 4600mAh battery. The phone comes with 120W fast charging support and is expected to be priced aggressively in India.

7. Vivo T1 Pro 5G

Launch Date- 21 April 2022 (tentative)

Vivo recently launched T1 5G and now it is coming up with the Pro variant of the device. It is aimed at providing good performance at low prices. It is expected to come with a 6.58-inch display, MediaTek Dimensity 810 MT6833 processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It will have a 5000mAh battery and is expected to be priced under 20k in the country.

8. Realme GT Neo 3

Launch Date- mid-April or end of April (tentative)

Realme GT 2 Pro is not the only device that the company is going to launch in India this month. Looks like there will be one more major launch from the company in the form of GT Neo 3 that has already debuted in China a few days ago. Since GT 2 Pro is launching in the first week of April, Realme would like to keep a gap of a few weeks between the two and hence GT Neo 3 might arrive in the last month of April.

Realme GT Neo 3 comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, Dimensity 8100 SoC, and a triple camera setup at the rear. The triple camera setup flaunts a 50MP main camera along with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP tele-macro camera. the 150W fast charging variant has a 4600mAh battery whereas the 80W fast charging device has a 5000mAh battery. It is expected to be priced at around Rs. 30,000 in India.

9. OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G

Launch Date- 4th week of April (tentative)

Nord CE 2 Lite is meant for those who want Nord devices at a lower price. It has already been seen getting BIS certification and thus the launch in India is imminent. The listing reveals it will have a 6.59-inch FHD Fluid display with an octa-core Snapdragon 695 chipset. It will have up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. It will have a 64MP main camera sensor and be backed by a 5000mAh battery.

10. Motorola Edge 30

Launch Date- 4th week of April (expected)

Motorola Edge 30 will be the trimmed version of the previously launched Edge 30 Pro. It has been spotted on various certification websites and Geekbench showed its model number to be XT2203-1. The listing revealed it will have Android 12, 8GB RAM, and a Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. Reports claim it will have a 4020mAh battery and 144Hz refresh rate.

11. Redmi 10 Prime+ 5G

Launch Date- towards the end of April (tentative)

Redmi 10 Prime+ is expected to be the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11E 5G that launched in China last month. The phone has been seen on the BIS listing making India launch imminent. Key specs might include a 6.8-inch FHD+ LCD panel, 90Hz refresh rate, and a Dimenity 700 chipset.

It might also have a 50MP primary rear camera and a 5000mAh battery with 8W fast charging. If we consider the China price, then its price in India could be around Rs 15,000.

12. Poco F4 5G

Launch Date- sometime in April (tentative)

Poco will bring its next affordable flagship to India this month. It will come with Snapdragon 870 along with Adreno 650GPU and 8GB RAM. It will run Android 12 and a layer of MIUI 13 on top. Reports claim it can be a rebranded version of Redmi K40S which means a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, and a 48MP main camera.

It will have a 20MP selfie camera and pack a 4500mAh battery with 67W fast charging. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 30,000.

13. Poco M4 5G

Launch Date- mid-April (tentative)

After launching the Poco M4 Pro series, the brand is expected to bring the vanilla M4 5G device to India. Leaks claim it will have a 6.58-inch IPS LCD FHD+ 90Hz display and be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. It will have a 50MP main sensor at the rear end and a 5MP selfie camera at the front.

The device is expected to have a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It is a new smartphone and the price is expected to start at around Rs. 12,000.

14. Vivo Y54s

Launch Date- first half of April (tentative)

Vivo Y54s is expected to come to India soon. It will have a 6.51-inch FHD+ LCD display with MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. It will have a 13MP primary camera with a 2MP depth sensor and an LED flash. The phone gives an 8MP selfie lens and is packed with a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging support.

It is expected to cost around Rs. 20,000 in India.
