Samsung has revived its premium flip phone Samsung W2019 which is usually launched for the Chinese market every year. Those aware of Samsung’s W-series know that it is famous for sticking to anachronistic design while embodying the latest hardware and software. The phone has two screens which are both AMOLED displays – one can be accessed while the handset is folded closed, like any normal smartphone, and the other can be accessed when you flip it open.

Both the displays are Super AMOLED with a screen size of 4.2-inch and aspect ratio of 16:9. The phone comes with the physical numeric keypad and hardware navigation keys evocative of the retro design. This W2019 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 and encompasses a RAM of 6GB with 128GB/256GB storage options.

The Samsung W2019 sports the same cameras which can be found on the Samsung Galaxy S9+. The primary camera is a 12MP sensor with f/1.5-2.4 variable aperture bolstered with a telephoto lens for 2X optical zoom. On the front, it uses an 8MP f/2.0 aperture selfie camera.
The phone houses a 3070 mAh battery and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. W2019 runs on the latest Android Oreo 8.1 based Samsung UI and features a USB type-C port. Samsung’s voice assistant Bixby can be called for with a dedicated hardware button placed on the side. It is made up of materials such as anodized diamond-cut aluminum and glass to give it a premium look. It will be available in Platinum and Gold colors with a hefty price tag starting at 18,999 Yuan which is almost equal to $2700.
