Samsung Z2 With Tizen OS And 4G LTE Launched at Rs. 4,590

Samsung is still persisting with its Tizen OS, and brings forth the Samsung Z2 running the home brewed OS. The yet another entry-level Tizen handset will leverage Samsung branding to increase its market share. The Z2 is priced at Rs. 4,590 and will be available at both online and offline stores from 29th of August onwards.

The phone takes inspiration from the Z3 in terms of looks and comes with similar textured rear panels. On the front, there is 3.97-inch LCD display which has a running resolution of 800 x 400 pixels.

Under the hood, there is a quad-core chipset clocked at 1.5 GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot.

As far as optics go, the handset bears a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front facing VGA camera for selfie. In terms of connectivity, the Samsung Z2 includes 4G LTE with VoLTE support, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.

It is backed by a 1,500mAh battery and runs on Tizen OS 3.0 which integrates several apps and signature J series feature like S-Bike Mode, My Money Transfer App, Ultra Data Saver Mode and WhatsApp out of the box.

Samsung has partnered with Reliance JIO to extend its 4G Preview Offer on the Z2 where consumers get a 4G enabled SIM with unlimited calls, text messages, unlimited data, and unlimited access to Jio suite of apps for a duration of 90-days.
