This monitor has a 49-inch curved ultra-wide screen with a DQHD resolution (5,120 x 1,400 pixels). It is built on a 32:9 aspect ratio. The Odyssey OLED G8 is the company’s first flat gaming monitor with a 32-inch screen with a 4K UHD resolution (3.840 x 2,160 pixels). Unlike the G9, the G8 is built on the regular 16:9 aspect ratio. It is important to mention that both monitors support a 240Hz refresh rate and a GTG response time of 0.03 milliseconds.

The Odyssey OLED G6 has a 27-inch QHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) built on a 16:9 aspect ratio. It supports a 360Hz refresh rate and has the same response time as the others. Other common features on the monitors include a Glare-Free display technology that minimizes light reflections.

Further, the monitors come with support for VESA DisplayHDR and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for smooth, low-latency gaming. Regarding ports, each model has two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB hub, and a DisplayPort 1.4 input.

Some features remain limited to the G9 and G8 models. For instance, Multi Control is a new feature that enables users to transfer images or text between the monitors and other Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy Book, Tab, or smartphone. Then these models also feature the SmartThings Hub, enabling users to connect to several IoT devices compatible with Matter and Home Connectivity Alliance protocols.

Last but not least, these models are also equipped with all-in-one entertainment hubs like the Samsung Smart TV and Gaming Hub, which provide access to streaming and cloud gaming services. The price and availibility of these monitors should be announced at the CES 2024.
