Samsung And Reliance Jio To Hold Joint Event At MWC 2017

Telecom giants Reliance Jio and Samsung announced that they would be coming together to hold a joint press conference at the MWC on February 28.

The event is scheduled to take place in Barcelona and the reason behind the joint venture is said to be the bringing together of the leaders in the telecom industry and to foster engagement and participation between them as well as the impact Jio’s 4G LTE business has had in the country.

As we know, Samsung was the first company to partner with Reliance Jio to offer unlimited free call and data its smartphone users.

The South Korean company said that it will also share the contributions it made as Jio’s solutions partner. Further asserting its claims, it stated that the overall experience would be beneficial for those attending the event and they will get to know about how it has and will further have impact on the growth of the country.

The joint press conference will be hosted by Jyotindra Thacker, President, Jio and Youngky Kim, President Head of Networks Business, Samsung Electronics and will start at 8:45am CET (1:15pm IST) a fortnight from now.

Rumors are also abuzz with the fact that Jio may may yet again announce a new offer which offers the users free (or for a nominal charge) unlimited data, calls and a plethora of other Jio apps.

But that aspect remains a subject of speculation at least until the company comes out with an official word in this regard.
