Latest reports suggest that Samsung has registered an application for getting the trademark of the brand name ‘XISO-CELL’ in South Korea, which could be the next generation of the smartphone camera system. For a long time now, the company has been in manufacturing of a series of camera sensors called ISOCELL that made their first appearance on the Samsung Galaxy S5 in the year 2014. After that, the South Korean smartphone producer also added the ISOCELL 2.0 and the ISOCELL Plus series camera sensors to the recent devices.

Keeping the brand name aside, the report does not reveal any other details about the next generation of image sensors named XISOCELL. Not only this, but it is also being said that Samsung is working on a sensor-shift image stabilizing technology similar to the one we have seen on iPhone 12 Pro Max. With this step, we can expect Samsung flagship devices to reach the level of photographs that we get from an iPhone. According to Apple, the sensor-shift technology can stabilize any image by up to 5000 times per second.

Until now, it is not clear whether we will get to see the next-generation XISOCELL image sensors and the sensor-shift image stabilizing technology in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series or not. Nonetheless, it is already in the air that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra from the same series will get a 200MP primary shooter.
