Samsung has added a new affordable tablet, the Galaxy Tab A(2017) to its India portfolio. The new Tab has an 8-inch display and a 5000mAh battery and is primarily meant for people who and taken in by the idea of a large display portable device for multimedia consumption.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A(2017) Features

The hardware Samsung is using is quite minimal. The 8-inch screen has workable 1280 x 800 (WXGA) resolution and on the inside, there is entry-grade quad-core Snapdragon 425 mobile platform paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. If you think that’s a bit too lackluster, that’s probably because Samsung doesn’t expect you to be using it as a smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A(2017) runs Android Nougat based software, has an 8MP AF rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP front camera. The tablet accepts SIM card and supports 4G LTE connectivity.

The Galaxy Tab A measures 8.9mm in thickness and its 5000mAh battery pushes the weight to 364 grams.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A(2017) India Price and Availability

The new Tab A will primarily retail at offline stores for 17,999 INR. You can also buy it from Samsung India online store. The Book Cover case for the tablet will cost Rs. 2,499 INR and Samsung further includes a 1-time screen replacement at Rs. 990 (valid for 1-year) for buyers who purchase it in the first month from launch.
