Samsung Galaxy S23 series is due early next year just like every year. However, flagship phones from Samsung are usually surrounded by thousands of rumors and this one adds to the array. Turns out tipster Yogesh Brar got his hands on the specifications for the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphone adding to its credibility. Here’s more about the story.
Samsung Galaxy S23 full specs leaked
According to Brar, the vanilla Galaxy S23 is likely to have the same hardware as its predecessor with the exception being the software and the processor under the hood.
The phone is likely to have Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and as per a previous report, Samsung is likely to use Qualcomm’s chipset on the majority of Galaxy S23 devices keeping its in-house Exynos series on the sidelines in more countries than before. Apart from that, there’s Android 13-powered OneUI 5 which will obviously drop on Galaxy S23 series as a pre-installed version giving access to three more major Android versions to go with.

The camera bump at the back is likely to see a major overhaul. Instead of using a camera bump that raises above the back panel (similar to Galaxy S21/S22), the upcoming Galaxy S23 will go commando with no bump, and rather, its triple sensors will have raised lens instead. These will be stacked vertically just like Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra which looked nice though.
Its camera setup includes a 50MP OIS, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP telephoto shooter at the back while the front has a 10MP snapper. There’s a 6.1: FHD+ sAMOLED 120Hz panel onboard which won’t have any changes compared to last year’s unit. There are 128GB and 256GB storage variants along with 8GB RAM which is again similar to that of its predecessors.
Brar further adds that the battery might see a bit of a bump from 3,700mAh to 3,900 mAh on the S23. Apart from that, the 25W wired and 15W wireless charging will remain the same as usual and the pan-S23 series so yeah, that’s all about the specifications that we got our hands on thanks to the tipster.
Samsung Galaxy S23 spotted on Geekbench
Well, the Samsung Galaxy S23 sporting a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has been spotted on Geekbench. Model number SM-S911U with Android 13 SoC, SD8G2 at a max 3.36GHz frequency and 6GB RAM managed to score 1,524 and 4,597 points on single-core and multi-core tests respectively.
