Samsung has taken the veil off the Galaxy M42 5G smartphone in India. The phone will be the first Galaxy M-series 5G mobile phone in the country. The Galaxy M42 ships with Snapdragon 750G mobile platform, up to 8GB RAM, 48MP quadruple camera, 20MP selfie shooter, and 5000mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy M42 5G Price & Availability
Samsung has brought the Galaxy M42 5G priced at Rs. 21,999 for 6+128GB model, and Rs. 23,999 for the bigger 8+128GB variant. The devices will retail on Samsung.com and Amazon from May 1st. There is also an introductory offer price of ₹19,999 for the base variant and ₹21,999 for the top-end model.

Samsung Galaxy M42 5G Features
Starting with the display, Galaxy M42 5G sports a 6.6-inch sAMOLED panel. The screen features a 720×1600 pixels resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and an 84.3% screen-to-body ratio. The waterdrop notch houses a 20MP selfie camera with HDR capabilities. It allows under-display fingerprint recognition as well.
Inside, the motherboard houses an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750 5G processor coupled with an Adreno 619 GPU, 128GB onboard storage, and RAM options of 6GB and 8GB. The phone runs on Android 11 based One UI 3.1 out of the box.

Samsung Galaxy M42 5G boasts a quad rear camera setup arranged in a square array. It includes a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor with 123˚ FoV, a 5MP macro lens, and a 5MP depth shooter. The rear camera is assisted with an LED flash and can records videos with 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps, and 720p@48fps resolutions.
Under the hood, the Galaxy M42 packs a 5000mAh battery with a 15W fast charge support. The connectivity options include a dual-SIM card slot, 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
