Samsung Galaxy M16 & Galaxy M06 5G India Launch Confirmed: Microsite goes live

Samsung has been focusing on the budget and entry-level segment of smartphones in India for the last few days. The brand recently launched Samsung Galaxy A06 5G & Samsung Galaxy F06 5G, which is the most affordable 5G phone priced under 10k. Now, Samsung has confirmed the arrival of two more budget-friendly smartphones in the country soon.

The brand has confirmed the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy M16 and Samsung Galaxy M06 5G as the dedicated teaser of both these devices has gone live on the e-commerce platform Amazon. These are the successors to Galaxy M15 and Galaxy M05 and their exact launch date will be announced in a few days.

Samsung Galaxy M16 & M06 5G: Details

Samsung M Series

Both Galaxy M16 and Galaxy M06 5G have been spotted on India’s BIS certification website with model numbers SM-E066B/DS and SM-M066B/DS and M16’s support page has also gone live. Samsung has even shared a teaser post on Amazon confirming their arrival and rear design.

The teaser image has a sketch design of the phones’ backs and the tagline says “Can’t beat the monster”. It also confirms they are ‘coming soon’. The phone on the left that has more rear cameras is the Galaxy M16 5G including a 50MP main, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP Macro sensor. The M16 has a tertiary lens sitting discretely with a longer vertical oblong camera island than the M06 5G.

The phones have also been seen on WiFi Alliance certification with the same model numbers as the BIS listing and are expected to come in black, blue, dark green, purple, and orange shades. The devices will run Android 15-based One UI and might be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, an upgrade from Dimensity 6100+.

Samsung launched M15 5G in March 2024 followed by M05 in September last year, but this time both these smartphones will be arriving together in March 2025. Samsung Galaxy M06 5G will cost under Rs. 15,000 similar to its predecessor.
