Nothing Phone (3a) & (3a) Pro Launching on March 4: Here’s What to Expect

As we get closer to the launch of the Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro, more details are surfacing about what to expect. From what we’ve seen so far, both smartphones are going to be very interesting, especially the Phone (3a) Pro. Here’s everything you can expect from the Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro, from specs to the price. Let’s get started.

Thanks to multiple leaks and promo videos, we have seen the complete design details of both Phone (3a) models. From the renders, it’s clear that the company is sticking to its iconic transparent aesthetic, with a fresh and unique design.

The Phone (3a) follows a similar design to that of the Phone (2a), but adding a third camera into the horizontal camera module. The design is transparent and the triple glyph LEDs continue to populate around the camera island.

Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro Specifications 

The Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro will both be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, with RAM and storage configurations varying between models. The key difference lies in the cameras—both sport a 50 MP main sensor and an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, but the Pro model has a 50 MP periscope lens with 3X optical zoom, while the standard version gets a 2X optical zoom.

The front cameras also differ, with the Pro getting a 50 MP sensor compared to the 32 MP shooter on the standard model. Further, Nothing has confirmed that they’re using the Phone (3a) Pro’s both front and rear cameras will support 4K60 video recording.

Both phones will feature a 6.77-inch 120 Hz AMOLED display with Panda Glass protection, a 5,000 mAh battery capable of reaching full charge in 56 minutes, and Android 15 out of the box. The display will boast a peak brightness of 3,000 Nits.

Nothing Phone 3a

The Phone (3a)’s dimensions are 163.52 x 77.5 x 8.35 mm while the (3a) Pro’s dimensions are 163.52 x 77.5 x 8.35 mm. The (3a) Pro is slightly thicker, presumably to accommodate the periscope lens. As for the weight, the Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro weigh 201g and 211g, respectively.

The Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro will run on NothingOS 3, Nothing’s custom OS based on Android 15. Additionally, the Essential Space feature is set to make an appearance on these devices, bringing a new way to interact with the software. A dedicated button on the side will be used to activate Essential Space.

Nothing Phone 3a

Nothing has confirmed a launch event for March 4, where we expect these phones to be officially revealed. Pricing remains unknown, but given the previous generation’s price range, a slight increase wouldn’t be surprising. We’ll have to wait and see how Nothing positions these models in the market.
