Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro, Galaxy J7 Max Launched At Rs. 17,900 and Rs. 20,900

After receiving rave reviews for its flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, the Korean giant is set to pump new vigor in its mid-range J-series. To take on Chinese dominance in the budget segment, Samsung has launched Galaxy J7 Pro aka (Galaxy J7 2017) and J7 Max in India. Both devices come in gold and black hues. (हिंदी में पढ़ें)

One of the key highlights of both these phones is Samsung Pay and Samsung Pay Mini support. Though we have seen Samsung Pay in the premium Galaxy phones, the J7 Pro become first budget smartphone that benefits from this mobile payment solution.

The J7 Max, on the other hand, comes with Samsung Pay Mini. Samsung is said to roll out Pay Mini on more phones which have HD display, and run on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and above.

On the specification front, the Galaxy J7 Pro boasts off an all metal body with a 2.5D curved glass layered on top of the display. The Galaxy J7 Pro houses a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Samsung uses its own 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core chipset under the hood to ensure it manages all the workload efficiently. It comes with 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.

Optics-wise, the Galaxy J7 Pro flaunts a 13MP primary shooter with f/1.7 aperture and LED flash. Up front, it gets another 13-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture and led flash to ensure better selfies even in low light. Once again, Samsung has placed fingerprint sensor in the home button. It is aided by 3,600mAh non-removable battery. It comes running on Android Nougat. Samsung hasn’t compromised on connectivity front as it comes with dual SIM dual stand by, Cat.6 LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C Port.

The Galaxy J7 Max, on the other hand, comes with a slightly bigger display, as it is evident from its name. The budget phablet houses a 5.7-inch Full HD display but without the Super AMOLED panel. It is powered by Helio P20 processor along with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage which can be bumped up to 128GB via microSD card. It boasts of the same optics as the J7 Pro.  Similarly, it comes running on Android Nougat based TouchWiz UI.

Well, Samsung has priced Galaxy J7 Pro at Rs. 20,900 and J7 Max at Rs. 17,900.  Samsung is offering Rs. 800 worth of Samsung Pay offers to consumers who but these phones. Also, all consumers will get 10GB free Jio data per Rs. 309 recharge for 12 successive recharges.
