Samsung has introduced another budget-friendly 5G smartphone in India. The Samsung Galaxy F16 5G has been officially announced just days after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy F06 5G. This new model succeeds the Galaxy F15 5G, which was released in March 2024. Powered by a Dimensity 6300 SoC, the smartphone boasts a 50MP rear camera. Notably, it offers an impressive six years of operating system and security updates, a feature uncommon in the budget smartphone market.

Samsung Galaxy F16 5G: Price & Availability

Samsung Galaxy F16 5G will come with a starting price of Rs. 11,499. This price will include offers and will be for the base 4GB RAM+128GB storage model. The smartphone is also available in two more storage variants-

6GB RAM+128GB storage-Rs. 13,999
8GB RAM+128GB storage-Rs. 15,499

It will come in Bling Black, Glam Green, and Vibing Blue shades and the first sale is live now via Flipkart and the Samsung India website.

The Samsung Galaxy F16 5G flaunts a 6.7-inch FHD+ Infinity- U Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC with ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage onboard. The smartphone will support Hybrid Dual SIM and run One UI 6 based on Android 14 out of the box. Samsung has promised 6 OS updates and 6 security updates for the device.

In terms of camera, Galaxy F16 sports a 50MP Main sensor at the back along with a 5MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro sensor. At the front is a 13MP camera for selfies and video calls. There is a side mounted fingerprint scanner for security and additional features include bottom ported speakers, 5G, WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, NFC and more.

Under the hood, it packs a 5000mAh battery with 25W wired charging. The dimensions of Galaxy F16 5G are 164.4×77.9×7.9mm and it weighs 191 grams.
