The wait is finally over as Samsung has unveiled its much-awaited 200MP ISOCELL HP1 Camera Sensor today. It is the company’s first 200MP smartphone camera sensor that features a dynamic pixel binning technology. This sensor can adjust the output resolution depending on the ambient light for optimum results.

Here are the details:

Samsung 200MP ISOCELL HP1 Specs

ISOCELL HP1 has a resolution of 200MP and can achieve different outputs of 12.5MP and 50MP through a pixel binning method which the company calls ChameleonCell. The HP1 will give different outputs according to the availability of light. In low light, it will combine pixels in a 4×4 binning method to achieve 12.5MP images. However, in good light, the sensor can output by 2×2 binning method for 50MP or even natively at 200MP. Samsung claims that the sensor would be smaller than ISOCELL GN2. The sensor also supports 8K video recording at 30fps, 4K video recording at 120fps, and a fairly wide field of view.
