The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme is experimenting with Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 on certain smartphones. Earlier, the models with access to the latest operating system were limited to Realme GT 2 Pro, GT Neo 5, and the GT Neo 3. Now, the brand has extended the rollout of Realme UI 5.0 to a couple of other handsets, including those in the Narzo 60 series and the GT Neo 3T. Here’s everything you need to know about the new features in the latest custom UI skin by the company.

Realme UI 5.0 Improvements

Realme UI 5.0 update

First, the Realme UI 5.0 brings several aesthetic improvements to provide a cleaner, more mature look to the user interface. The system animations and movements also feel more smoother. Realme has also worked on app loading times and improving the system’s overall stability. Other aspects of the update include improvements to the control center, lock screen, and widgets.

For instance, the control center of Realme UI 5.0 is slightly different from its predecessor’s. It contains a music toggle, like the one we’ve seen on iOS devices, and a bokeh effect that distinguishes between the app in the background and the elements of the control center.

Similarly, the lock screen has received an option to access Google Assistant, flashlight, or other device controls from the bottom left corner in the Realme UI 5.0. Regarding the app drawer, the latest UI version seems to have added an alphabetic slider at the right, which helps users locate apps based on their names. Further, more apps will support App Cloner in the coming software update.
