Realme Smart TV Launched in India Starting at Rs. 12,999

Venturing further into the smart home segment, Realme has launched its first Smart TVs in India. These are aggressively priced affordable TVs that run the Android TV interface and will compete against similar options from Xiaomi, VU, and Motorola.

Realme TV Price and Availability

Realme TV will be available for purchase on Realme.com and on Flipkart from 12 Noon, June 2 onwards. Realme offers 1-year of additional warranty for display panels for purchases made from both platforms. Flipkart users get additions 6 months of YouTube premium.

Apart from the TVs, the company also introduced Realme Watch (Rs. 3,999), Realme Buds Air Neo (Rs. 2,999), and the Realme 10000mAh Power bank 2 (Rs. 999) from the same stage.

Realme Smart TV Features

As mentioned, above the Realme TV will be available in two sizes with nearly the same hardware specifications. Realme uses basic edge-lit LED panels that can go up to 400Nits bright and have 178-degree viewing angles.

The side bezels are narrow and the panel supports 16.7-million colors managed by the Chromaboost engine that Realme also uses on its phones.

The software is Android 9.0 and Realme has confirmed the presence of three popular apps – Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime. There is also Google Assistant and built-in Chromecast. Both size options get 24W audio with Dolby Audio support.

The TV is driven by MediaTek Quad-Core chipset paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. Connectivity options include 3x HDMI port, 2x USB port, Bluetooth, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Digitial TV interface, SPDIF, and Ethernet.
