Realme prioritizes the design aesthetics of their devices, ensuring that users feel stylish and can showcase their personality. Unlike many smartphones in the 20k segment that still feature polycarbonate bodies, Realme has taken things up a notch. The Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G, the latest addition to the Narzo Series, boasts a Horizon Glass Design, making it Realme’s first glass design smartphone in its price range.
Available in two shades, Glass Green and Glass Gold, I had the opportunity to review the Glass Green variant. Upon unboxing the smartphone, I found the new back panel design appealing. It seamlessly blends a smooth and matte finish, crafted from glass, giving it a super-premium feel. The bottom half of the panel features a matte Narzo branding, while the upper half has a glossy surface housing a large circular camera module. The camera module, with the OIS text in the middle, LED flash, and four camera lenses, reflects light, adding to the device’s overall shine. The use of glass material ensures that the device remains cool, even during intensive tests and gaming sessions.
In terms of functionality, the right edge of the smartphone houses the volume rockers and power buttons, while the left edge remains vacant. The bottom edge accommodates the SIM tray, USB-C cable, and speaker grille, while the top edge features a 3.5mm headphone jack, IR blaster, and secondary microphone. The front of the device boasts an AMOLED panel with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
The Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G is a looker that’s also comfortable to hold. It’s thin and light at 7.97mm and 195 grams, but the flat edges aren’t quite as comfy as curved ones. However, the matte finish provides a good grip, so you might not even need a case!
The only slight niggle is that the glossy part of the back panel proves to be a magnet to smudges and dirt. It gets smudged or dusty very easily and for people like me who hate a smudgy device, it becomes tedious to keep wiping the backside again and again.

Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G Review: Display
The Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G showcases a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. This AMOLED display delivers vibrant, detailed, and accurate visuals. With a wide range of 16.7 million colors and a 100% P3 color gamut, the display’s color reproduction is impressive. The 120Hz refresh rate ensures a seamless scrolling experience whether you’re browsing social media, watching videos, reading books, or playing games.
Indoors, the peak brightness levels of 2000 nits feel sufficient, but under harsh sunlight outdoors, it can be slightly challenging to view the screen. I found myself having to place my hand at the top side of the display to read the screen on a few occasions. However, the Narzo 70 Pro 5G comes with AI Brightness Adjustment assistance, which eliminates the need for manual brightness adjustments. The system learns the user’s habits and automatically adjusts the brightness accordingly.
Another intelligent feature added to the display is Rainwater Smart Touch, a feature not commonly found in mid-range smartphones. This algorithm detects whether the user is touching the screen or if it’s water droplets that have fallen on it, preventing any unintended actions caused by water. I tested this feature by allowing some drops of water to fall on the display while my hands were wet, and the device did not respond to those droplets. Additionally, operating the device with wet hands was smooth and convenient as it only recognized the actions performed by my fingers.

Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G Review: Performance
The Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G chipset, commonly found in mid-range devices nowadays. Built on TSMC 6nm advanced technology, it is coupled with Mali-G68 GPU to enhance the gaming experience. Equipped with 8GB of RAM, the chipset delivers fast, smooth, and efficient performance for daily tasks. Integrated with a 5G modem, AI processing unit, and support for high-resolution cameras, it ensures swift calling, photography, and other activities. Users can enjoy up to 256GB of storage capacity, sufficient for storing various content in the phone gallery. Benchmark test results are provided below.
When it comes to gaming, light to moderate titles that do not require high frame rates or heavy graphics operate smoothly for extended periods. I encountered no lags or stutters while playing games like Burger Shop, Goods Sort, Township, Candy Crush, Tile Fun, etc., for hours on end. However, with popular heavy titles such as Asphalt 9 and COD Mobile, frame rates began to drop after 20-25 minutes of gameplay. Additionally, multitasking with several background apps alongside these heavy titles caused the smartphone to slow down and stutter. While the Narzo 70 Pro 5G may not be suitable for intense gaming, it can meet the needs of light gamers. The smartphone’s thermal performance is satisfactory, as it did not overheat during prolonged gaming or benchmarking sessions thanks to the large stainless steel vapor chamber.
Let’s discuss another important aspect of the smartphone, which is software. The Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G is powered by Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14. Realme has been highlighting Narzo 70 Pro 5G’s Air Gestures in its marketing material is it something really impressive? Well, this is not something unique. They have existed in the past. From Samsung to OPPO all have offered air gestures in their smartphones. The Narzo 70 Pro has ten different gestures can be used to perform various actions such as opening an app, scrolling a page, navigating the system, taking a screenshot, turning off the screen, swiping to the next or previous video, and activating gesture recognition. These gestures enable you to control the device without physically touching the screen.
One of the other highlights of the software is the significant reduction in bloatware. It comes with a few Realme apps, some Google apps, and a handful of third-party apps preinstalled. Compared to other mid-range devices that are loaded with bloatware, this one offers a cleaner experience. The addition of features like Smart Sidebar and File Dock makes it convenient to access applications directly from the main screen. The Flash Capsule feature provides quick access to apps like Swiggy and Zomato, while Smart Image Matting allows you to easily isolate and share subjects from your photos. Moreover, there are various customization options available for those who want to personalize their device.

Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G REVIEW: CAMERA
Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G boasts a triple camera setup on the rear. The setup includes a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP additional sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera. The primary rear camera includes a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with 2X in-sensor zoom and OIS. The smartphone captures vivid, detailed, and bright images during daylight. The lossless zoom ensures that details remain intact even when zooming in, and the color accuracy is satisfactory for daytime photography.
The large camera sensor guarantees that nighttime shots are detailed and do not suffer from blown-out highlights. Although highlights are well-preserved, nighttime images may exhibit lens flare artifacts and slight blurring around the edges. The camera also struggles with color accuracy in low light.
The portrait mode effectively blurs the background while keeping the subject in focus, while the Pro mode strikes a balance between the subject and its surroundings. The image quality in both modes is acceptable.
The 8MP ultrawide camera captures decent wide-angle shots with a good field of view. While daytime shots are satisfactory, zooming in may result in some loss of detail. Despite not matching the main camera sensor’s quality, it performs well when capturing larger areas.
The 2MP sensor delivers average close-up shots and serves no other significant purpose. The 16MP selfie camera, with the highest pixel count in its price range, produces impressive results in the photos it captures. Daylight selfies strike a good balance between the subject and background, maintaining natural and realistic skin tones. The colors are neither overly vibrant nor too muted. Realme Narzo 70 Pro has the potential to enhance your social media presence.

Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G Review: Battery Life and Charging
Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G juices up from a massive 5000mAh battery under the hood. Once completely recharged, the battery easily breezed through an entire day of work including calling, messaging, watching videos, and social media browsing, reading articles, using the camera and playing games. At the end of the day, I still had around 20% battery remaining, which is decent.
Realme bundles a 67W power adapter inside the box that charges the device from 0 to 100% in around 50 minutes (less than an hour). If you have 20 minutes, you can easily get a 50% charge enough to last for 3-4 hours. So we can say that the Charging time is pretty decent. There are options to stop charging at 80% and Smart Charging that slows down charging to prevent battery aging. Power Saving Mode or Super Power Saving Mode can be enabled to make the battery last longer.

The Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G boasts a premium appearance and impressive specifications such as an AMOLED display, a sleek and lightweight design, a 5000mAh battery, 67W fast charging, and a 50MP rear camera. Despite not being suitable for heavy gaming and having a somewhat useless 2MP sensor, the device offers great value for money for Rs 20k, especially with the included freebies.
