Realme recently made an announcement regarding the 240W SuperVOOC charging technology. It has now been confirmed that it will enter with the Realme GT Neo 5 5G. The latest reports regarding the same suggest that the Realme GT Neo 5 5G with 240W SuperVOOC charging will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023). The brand has still not confirmed whether the device will appear in MWC 2023 or not.

Previous reports suggested that the Realme GT Neo 5 launch will occur in January or February. The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 is scheduled to take place between February 27th to March 2nd in Barcelona. Considering all that, the smartphone will most probably be the first ever device to ship with 240W charging technology. That said, here we will now discuss the rumoured specifications and features of the Realme GT Neo 5.

Realme GT Neo 5 5G specifications (leaked)

The Realme GT Neo 5 may ship with a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. The device may come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. It may run on the Realme UI 4.0 based on the Android 13 operating system. For security purposes, we can get to see an in-display fingerprint sensor and an AI face unlock feature in the smartphone.

When it comes to the camera, the Realme GT Neo 5 could sport a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra wide-angle shooter, and a 2MP macro shooter. For capturing selfies and attending video calls, the smartphone may get a 16MP front snapper. The handset may draw power from a 5000mAh battery along with two different charging tech supports variants. The regular variant of the device will support 150W charging, and the high-end variant will support 240W charging.

Another rebranding saga in the making

Hope you had a look at the specifications. Found something strikingly similar to another upcoming device? Well, I did, and the Realme GT Neo 5 is identical to the OnePlus 11R. This clearly means that history is going to repeat itself. Previously, the OnePlus 10R was nothing but a rebranded Realme GT Neo 3 with a different design. Again, it seems like the Realme GT Neo 5 will be rebranded as OnePlus 11R with a tweaked design. If this happens once again, then surely OnePlus is going to be at the suffering end. Due to rebranding and removal of the alert slider, OnePlus’ image in the market has already taken a toll. Now, it will be interesting to see if the rebranding thing is going to exist or not.
