Realme GT 2 Pro camera specs revealed; Early 2022 launch expected

Realme’s next premium flagship Realme GT 2 Pro has been in the works for a while now. The smartphone is expected to be pricier and loaded with more features than the standard Realme GT variant. A few days ago, the device was spotted on the IMEI listing, and prices were also tipped. Now, some information about the key camera specs and launch date of the smartphone has surfaced online.

Realme GT 2 Pro Expected Launch Date

Tipster Mukul Sharma claims that the product testing for GT 2 Pro has already begun and if everything goes as per realme’s plans, then the device could be launched around early 2022. Although the exact timeline of launch can’t be confirmed, Realme GT 2 Pro is expected to go official in the first quarter of 2022.

Realme GT 2 Pro Expected Price

Realme GT 2 Pro is said to be priced around RMB 4000 which is roughly Rs. 46,000. Reports state that there could be a special edition of the phone that could retail at RMB 5000 (~Rs. 58,000).

Realme GT 2 Pro Key Camera Specs

According to the Camera FV-5 website, the Realme GT 2 Pro will have an 8MP front-facing camera that will have an f/2.4 aperture. On the back, it will feature a 12.6MP sensor, that will have an f/1.8 aperture, OIS, and EIS support.

Considering the camera configuration listed on the website, the smartphone will out 50-megapixel photos. As per reports, along with the 50MP rear sensor, there will be 8MP ultrawide and 5MP tertiary sensors too.

Realme GT 2 Pro Expected Specs

GT 2 Pro is expected to feature a 6.51-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a punch-hole cut-out at the top, 20:9 aspect ratio, a high refresh rate, 401-pixel density, slim bezels, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security.

It is likely to run Android 12 OS with Realme UI 3.0 custom skin on top. Connectivity features will include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and USB Type-C port.

It could come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage (with further expandability). A major upgrade is expected in the charging department, as Realme GT 2 Pro is claimed to come with 125W fast charging.
