Realme C55 Launched with Mini Capsule & Helio G88 SoC

Realme added another jewel to its C-series lineup – the Realme C55, in Indonesia. It is the first smartphone from the Chinese maker with a Mini Capsule that resembles iPhone 14 Pro series Dynamic Island. It has an Helio G88 SoC, up to 8GB RAM, and a 90Hz LCD panel among others. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Realme C55 Pricing and Availability

The Realme C55 arrives in two storage configurations i.e. 6+128GB at Rp 2,499,000/- (INR 13,300/- approx). The top-of-the-line variant has a configuration of 8GB+256GB priced at Rp 2,999,000/- (or approx INR 16,000/-). You have two color options – Rainy Night and Sunshower.

It will be available for sale starting March 8 in Indonesia. Its availability in India remains shrouded in mystery at the time of writing this.

Realme C55 Specifications & Features

Realme C55 is the first smartphone with a Mini Capsule. It looks like a centrally-placed punch-hole cut-out. However, it unfolds its capabilities thanks to the Mini Capsule resembling that of iPhone 14 Pro’s Dynamic Island. Mini Capsule shows your battery status, charging status, fitness data, data usage status, and a lot more.

Talking about the specifications, the phone brings along a 6.52” LCD FHD+ panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak of 680nits brightness. It houses an 8MP selfie shooter at the front. The rear has a dual camera setup housing a 64MP primary and 2MP depth sensor.

Under the hood, you will find MediaTek Helio G88 SoC paired alongside Mali G52 GPU, up to 256GB of storage, and 8GB of RAM on the hardware front. You also get a microSD card (dedicated) should you choose to expand the storage. There’s Android 13-powered Realme UI 4.0 handling the software part.

Realme C55 draws power from its 5,000mAh battery paired with 33W SuperVOOC charging via Type-C charging port. Next up, we have a 3.5mm headphone jack, Dual-SIM, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC to name a few.
