Online exclusive smartphone brand Realme could soon launch its second phone in India. The Realme 2 images and retail box accidentally flashed on the company’s newly launched official website. However, these images were taken down from the site immediately. For those who are not aware, Realme started off as Oppo’s sub-brand and last month, the company registered itself as a separate entity. The RealMe 1 was a well received smartphone. In fact, it still features among the best-selling phones on Amazon India.

The brand’s inception was based around the idea of creating impressive built and configuration in the affordable segment. The key area where the company plans to work is producing up to the mark phones in Rs 10,000 – Rs 20,000 domain. Even though, Realme 2 will not be launched anytime soon, we can still assume competitive pricing for this mobile India.

What to expect from the Realme 2: Features and specifications

Realme 2 will sport a customary notched display, a feature that is present in every other Android phone these days. The display panel will have thinner bezels than its predecessor, and its rear will feature Oppo’s standard diamond pattern design. On closer look, one can easily draw similarities between Realme 2 and Oppo F7.

According to the leaked images, Realme 2 will feature a dedicated fingerprint sensor on the rear, something that was missing in the Realme original.

Another major upgrade that is evident from the images is the introduction of dual optics. The Realme 2 gets a dual camera set up at the rear, which was missing from its predecessor.

Not much was revealed about the device except its promotional tagline that read “A notch above”. If Realme 2 plans to retain its basic features, the phone will be powered by Helio P60 chipset.
