realme has begun teasing the 16 Pro lineup in India and the early confirmations give us a look at the upgrades planned for this generation. The company has officially revealed AI Genie 2.0 with upgraded AI LightMe and AI StyleMe filters, a new master design, a larger battery than 6,500 mAh, and realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16.

realme’s performance teaser shows the 16 Pro+ scoring about 20% higher than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, which confirms that the Pro+ uses a more powerful Snapdragon chip. This Snapdragon chip is either the 8s Gen 3 or the 7+ Gen 3.

realme has teased the full zoom range from 1X to 10X, which confirms that the realme 16 Pro+ is getting a telephoto camera. This telephoto is expected to be a 50 MP 3.5X lens with an approximate 85 mm focal length. It is the same setup that appeared earlier on the Reno14 series and the OnePlus 15.

The realme 16 Pro+ is expected to feature a 6.78 inch 1.5K OLED display with 144 Hz, a 200 MP main camera, and a 50 MP 3.5X telephoto using the JN5 sensor. Both models may get a 50 MP front camera. A 7,000 mAh battery with 80W charging is expected, along with 8 GB + 128 GB as the base variant.
