Poco F2 Pro With Snapdragon 865 and 64MP camera goes official

2

As expected, Poco F2 Pro is now official and as was suspected all along, it is indeed the rebranded Redmi K30 Pro. A lot has changed if you compare it to the Poco F1, but then again the Poco F1 launched more than 2 years ago.

Highlights include Snapdragon 865, 64MP Sony IMX686 camera, AMOLED display, under-display fingerprint sensor, and 30W fast charging.

Poco F2 Pro Price and availability

The F2 Pro will start shipping from May 11 onwards across different online retail channels globally (not in India, though). It will retail in two variants.

  • 6GB + 128GB – EUR 499 (roughly Rs. 37,600)
  • 8GB + 256GB – EUR 599 (roughly Rs. 40,900) Indian rupees)

Poco F2 Features

As mentioned at the start, this is a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro, so there are really no surprises here. SD 865 powering the phone is aided by up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage and minimum 6GB RAM. There is also a cooling system to improve gaming efficiency.

The AMOLED display refreshes at 60Hz only, but we do have an optical in-display fingerprint reader underneath. There is a 4700mAh battery inside that supports 30W fast charging.

Of course, housing all that tech makes the F2 Pro 9mm thick and 218 grams heavy. Which perhaps why Poco didn’t have to miss out on the 3.5mm audio jack.

  1. Is the 100€ premium for LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 worth it, if I consider 128GB to be enough? Certainly, my Xiaomi phone never uses over 4GB of RAM, so I doubt the 8GB are needed.
