Update (16 October 2017): A new version of Pixel 2 launcher with Google Now support by developer Paphonb is now available. we have added the link for the new APK in the steps below.

At the Pixel 2 launch, Google introduced a couple of new changes to its launcher app. To start with, the search bar has been moved to the very bottom where it’s more easily accessible and at the top, you will find “At a Glance” screen widget that relays details like the weather outside, time, date, and even shows your upcoming reminders.

There are many third-party launchers and apps that can help you mimic the Pixel 2 launcher to a large extent, but it’s lot of hard work and just doesn’t work the same.

Well, thanks to the hardworking folks at XDA, the new Google launcher can now be downloaded on most Android devices (running Android Lollipop or higher). Here is how you can download and install Google Pixel 2 on your Android phone.

Step 2: First download the ported Pixel 2 Launcher App from Here (or use direct download link). You can also download the Google Now integrated version from Here.

Step 3: Tap and install the APK.

That’s it you are done.

If you already had pixel launcher running on your phone, this APK will install on top of that. No worries.

You can now long press anywhere on the home screen to access Pixel 2 launcher settings. From here you can enable ‘At a Glance’ and decide between a few more options. Turning on App suggestion will show your frequently used or suggested apps in the top row of the app drawer.

Download Pixel 2 Launcher now on any Android Phone

We tried the APK on OnePlus 5, Galaxy Note 8 and a couple more phones and it worked on all of these. With the ported Google Pixel 2 launcher, you can have a taste of the upcoming Pixel 2 devices on your current Android phone. The Google Now home screen will, however, work only if you have a Pixel or Nexus device.
