Oppo Realme 1 hands-on leaks ahead of official launch – Reveals everything there is to know

A competitively priced and trimmed down version of Oppo F7 for online buyers.

Oppo is all set to launch a new online-exclusive Realme series in India on May 15, and the first phone in the series -Realme 1- has been leaked in full glory ahead of its official launch. Live images of the phone along with complete specifications were published in a first-impression piece which has since been pulled down.

Some of the highlights are that the RealMe 1 will have the same Diamond Black rear as the Oppo F7, the same Helio P60 chipset, and will cost a lot lesser. Let’s dive deeper:

Oppo Realme 1 Features

The Oppo F7 looks quite similar to the Oppo F7 but it won’t have a notch. The IPS LCD display is 6-inches in size and has Full HD+ resolution On the inside, the Realme 1 has the same Helio P60 chipset which proved to be capable SoC on the Oppo F7. Though the leaked source mentions 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, Oppo is expected to also launch variants with lesser storage and RAM.

What primarily differentiates Realme 1 from Oppo F7 is the camera hardware. For photography, there is a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The selfie shooter has AI beautify and AI-powered portrait mode.

Other features include Android 8.1 Oreo-based Color OS, 4G LTE, Face Unlock, and 3410mAh battery. One glaring omission is the fingerprint sensor. Oppo also bundles a protective case in the box.

Oppo Realme 1 Launch date and Price

Oppo Realme 1 will launch on Amazon on May 15. It’s expected to be competitively priced (Around 12K) and should compete with phones like Redmi Note 5/Note 5 Pro and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.
