TL; DR
  • OPPO has confirmed the standard K15 will launch in China on July 24
  • It packs an 8,000mAh battery, a chassis-integrated cooling fan, and the Dimensity 7360 Super chipset
  • It also packs an unusual camera setup for this segment, including three separate 50MP cameras

OPPO is bringing a new entry to its K-series in China with the OPPO K15, landing July 24. The listing has already gone live on OPPO’s own online store, which means most of the design, color options, memory configuration, and hardware are effectively confirmed ahead of the actual event.

This follows the K15 Pro and K15 Pro+ from a few months back, but the standard K15 isn’t just a cut-down version of those. Instead of leaning on flagship-adjacent silicon, OPPO seems to be putting the money into battery size, thermals, and camera hardware, an odd but not unwelcome set of priorities for a non-Pro model.

OPPO K15 Specifications

One of the headline features is the 8,000 mAh battery, which continues the recent trend of aggressively large silicon-carbon batteries making their way into Chinese smartphones. OPPO has also confirmed support for 80W wired charging.

The phone will also include an active cooling fan built directly into the chassis, alongside a 4,950 mm² vapor chamber cooling system. Active cooling solutions remain uncommon outside gaming phones, making its appearance on the K15 somewhat unusual. Powering the device is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360 Super chipset.

The camera setup is probably the most unexpected part of the K15. OPPO is using a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP front-facing camera.

Rounding out the sheet: a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, an RGB ring light around the camera module, IP69 water and dust resistance, and a confirmed configuration of 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. Two colors so far: Gale Gray and Rapid White.

OPPO K15 Price and India Launch Expectations

OPPO hasn’t said anything about markets outside China yet. If it does eventually bring the K15 to India without changing the spec sheet, current memory pricing could put it somewhere around ₹35,000, but that’s a guess for now, not a number to hold OPPO to. Pricing for the China launch itself will come out on July 24.
