TL; DR
- Digital Chat Station says the OPPO Find N7 Wide is currently testing a battery around 6,500mAh.
- Earlier leaks pointed to a 5.5-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch inner display.
- OPPO is also working on a new hinge system aimed at delivering a nearly creaseless display.
- The foldable is currently tipped to launch in Q1 2027 with Qualcomm’s next flagship chip.
OPPO’s next foldable is starting to sound increasingly ambitious. According to a new leak from Digital Chat Station, the company is currently testing the Find N7 Wide with a battery capacity of around 6,500 mAh. That’s a huge number for a book-style foldable, especially one that continues to focus on a shorter and wider form factor.
The battery alone would put it well ahead of what we’re expecting from most rivals. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide is currently tipped to use a 4,800 mAh battery, while Apple’s first foldable iPhone is rumored to land closer to the 5,000 mAh mark.
OPPO Is Doubling Down on the Wide Foldable Design

Previous leaks from Digital Chat Station revealed that the Find N7 Wide will feature a 5.5-inch cover display paired with a 7.6-inch inner screen.
That makes it much closer to the original Find N series philosophy than Samsung’s traditional Fold lineup. The wider outer display allows the phone to behave more like a regular smartphone when closed, while the inner panel opens into a more tablet-like 4:3 layout.
A New Hinge Is Also In The Works

Earlier reports suggested OPPO is developing an upgraded hinge mechanism for the Find N7 Wide, with the goal of making the crease far less noticeable than current foldables.
Samsung Display and BOE are both reportedly involved in supplying panels for the device.
Reducing the crease has quickly become one of the biggest battlegrounds in foldables, with Samsung, Apple, and OPPO all reportedly investing heavily in new hinge technologies.

Digital Chat Station also says OPPO is evaluating the Find N7 Wide with Qualcomm’s next flagship chipset, widely expected to arrive as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 (SM8950). The leak also mentions an on-device AI accelerator being tested alongside the chip, although details remain scarce for now.
OPPO Hasn’t Finalized The Camera Design Yet

Interestingly, OPPO appears to be experimenting with two different camera layouts internally.
One prototype reportedly uses OPPO’s familiar circular camera island, while another adopts a horizontal camera deco similar to what we’ve seen in rumors surrounding Apple’s foldable iPhone.
The Find N7 Wide is currently tipped to arrive in Q1 2027, which would put it right in the middle of what is shaping up to be a very busy year for foldables.
