Oppo Confirms Android Lollipop Based Color OS 2.1

Oppo smartphones have been pretty eye catching because of their stunning rotating camera which serves as both rear facing as well front facing camera depending upon the need of the user. Recently Oppo has unveiled its next flagship smartphone Oppo R7 on May 20, 2015. Oppo R7 features a bezel less 5 inch HD display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa core processor paired with 3 GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 16 GB of internal storage space too.

As for the most recent news from the house of Oppo is the launch of new UI by itself which is based on Android Lollipop 5.0. The new Android Lollipop based UI by Oppo has been named as Color OS 2.1. The latest by Oppo has been launched in Beta version is reportedly said to be featured by the upcoming duo Oppo Find 7 and Find 7A. The two new devices by Oppo are said to be unveiled next week. The company had shared the news with a preview of Beta version of the latest Color OS 2.1 on their official forum, which was followed by a video showcasing the features of the new creation.

The major changes that are clearly visible in the first glare at the new UI include an all new UI interface based on material design, which gives a whole new experience over the previous version of Color OS which was based upon Android Kitkat. As mentioned by a company official, the Color OS 2.1 upgrade will not be released on the air (OTA) as of now and will be seen in Oppo Find 7 and Find 7A for the first time.
