OnePlus continues pulling out all stops to conserve the OnePlus 3 success momentum and is off to a great start in 2017. Soon after releasing an upgraded 3T variant, the Chinese manufacturer has now started pushing the new Android 7.0 Nougat based Oxygen OS 4.0 software for both 3 and 3T worldwide.

As always, the update will be pushed in batches and if you haven’t received any notification yet, you will over the course of this week.

We recently reviewed the new OnePlus 3T and found out that its software included new Camera tuning and was relatively more stable than the 3. With the new update, all those changes will also be passed on to the OnePlus 3.

  • Multi-Window View
  • Notification Direct Reply
  • Custom DPI Support
  • Added Status Bar Icon Options
  • Added Quick Launch For 3rd Party Applications
  • Improved Shelf Customization

“We also have been working very hard on getting software updates out more consistently and more frequently. Thanks to a unified OxygenOS software platform and our robust beta program, we’ve made some significant improvements to the OnePlus software experience.

Today we’re happy to announce that we’ll be rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to both the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T. As always, this roll out is incremental and we will try to get everyone covered as quickly as possible.” noted OnePlus in its press statement.
