OnePlus has joined hands with one of the most prominent film stars in the country, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, roping him in as its brand ambassador in India.
Mr. Bachchan is the first public figure to be a part of a select group of well-known OnePlus users, which the company intends to call ‘OnePlus Stars’.
The septuagenarian’s tryst with big names in the smartphone world is well known and this is not the first time he’s been associated with a popular brand.
Having earlier been the face of LG, he turned into a Samsung user (having quite notably tweeted about trading the company’s Galaxy Note 7 smartphone for the Galaxy S7) and now seems to have turned towards the China-based company.

The association has thrown up a bright possibility of an advertisement of the company featuring the legendary actor, coming out real soon.

Speaking of his association with OnePlus, the star remarked, “It gives me immense pleasure to be working with the most exciting technology brand in India, OnePlus, a truly disruptive technology company known for its premium quality and craftsmanship. Being a OnePlus user myself, I am thrilled to represent the brand in India and become a part of the passionate community of OnePlus fans to take the brand legacy ahead.”
“We are delighted to welcome Mr. Amitabh Bachchan as our brand representative in India. As the brand grows to the next level, we aim to continue to bond with our community in a more meaningful and engaging way. Our association with Mr. Bachchan will further strengthen this bond, give our users a greater sense of purpose and help the brand scale to new heights,” said Pete Lau, CEO and Founder, OnePlus
