If you have been following tech news a lot, you might have some idea about the OnePlus Pad and how it is reportedly under development for some time now. Well, the news around the same has caught attention once again news around its purported launch date has surfaced online. Thanks to the courtesy of Tipster Max Jambor, the OnePlus Pad is likely to launch next year.

Max Jambor is a well-known name in the tech industry with many credible leaks as his accolades. According to the tipster, the OnePlus Pad is scheduled to launch next year although there’s no date available for the same.

Roland Quandt, another well-known tipster, did mention that this could be yet another overpriced and underpowered Android-based Realme-based tablet rebranded as OnePlus. For those who aren’t in the know, Realme and OnePlus are part of the same holding group and so are Oppo, Vivo, iQOO, and a few others.

When it comes to pricing, a previous leak that we will get to later, says it’s pegged at CNY 2,999 or INR 34,500/-.

OnePlus Pad Specifications (Rumoured)

The initial months of 2022 saw an array of news around the purported and upcoming OnePlus Pad 5G. According to tipster Sam on Twitter, the phone is likely to pack in a Snapdragon 865 SoC under the hood paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. There’s a 12.4” FHD+ OLED panel onboard paired with an 8MP front camera setup.

OnePlus will include a dual rear camera on its very first pad. It is likely a 13MP plus 5MP rear camera setup. Moving on, we have a 10,090mAh battery under the hood with a 45W fast charging tech. Note that although the specifications might seem pretty convincing, these specifications are rumored and not something coming straight from the smartphone giant.

Moving on, the OnePlus Pad is likely to have an Android 12L under the hood. The last piece of information that we have about the upcoming OnePlus Pad is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth v5.1, and 3.5mm headphone jack among others. The pricing for the OnePlus Pad is expected to be at CNY 2,999/- for its 6GB+128GB storage, although take it with a pinch of salt.
