OnePlus, the Chinese Smartphone manufacturer, is getting ready for the launch of its flagship smartphone series. Yes! We are talking about the OnePlus 12 series and so far we have already encountered numerous leaks and speculations about the handsets. Now in the latest report, it has been revealed that the company is also working on the launch of the OnePlus Buds 3 alongside the OnePlus 12 series launch. The leaked images of the device have made their appearance on FCC listing and BIS certification sites providing more details about the TWS.
OnePlus Buds 3 FCC and BIS Listing
As per a discovery on Slashleaks, the FCC listing discloses that the upcoming OnePlus Buds 3 is identified by the model number E509A. Though the exact name isn’t explicitly mentioned, the certification does indicate a semi-in-ear design featuring silicone ear tips. The accompanying schematics in the certification depict a square-shaped storage and charging case, resembling the design of its predecessor.
The OnePlus Buds 3, as per FCC details, is set to feature a 520mAh battery unit, with each earbud supported by a 58mAh cell, aligning with previous leaks. Despite the FCC certification providing information on the battery specifications, additional details about the audio device remain undisclosed.
While the launch date for the OnePlus Buds 3 has not been officially announced, there are indications that it will be unveiled in conjunction with the OnePlus 12. It’s worth noting that the OnePlus Buds 2 Pro was introduced earlier this year, adding to the anticipation surrounding the forthcoming release of the Buds 3.

OnePlus Buds 3 Expected Specifications
The upcoming OnePlus Buds 3 is rumored to feature a 10.4mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter for its audio system, with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) expected to reach up to 48dB. The combined battery life of the case (520mAh) and buds (58mAh) with ANC on is projected to be 22 hours, extending to 33 hours with ANC off. When used independently, the earbuds are expected to offer 6 hours with ANC on and 9 hours with ANC off. A quick 10-minute charge could provide 5 hours of listening time. The earbuds are likely to have an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, and the case is expected to be rated IPX4. Connectivity features may include Bluetooth v5.3, Google Fast Pair, and dual connection support, mirroring the Buds Pro 2.
