OnePlus 8 Pro Features

OnePlus 8 Pro has a matte-frosted curved glass back and the company has tried to bring back the silky-white feel from a couple of years back (OnePlus 6). The phone has an IP rating for dust and water resistance.

6.7-inch QHD display on 8 Pro has 10-bit colors, refreshes at 120Hz and enjoys an A+ rating from DisplayMate. OnePlus has focused on keeping colors close to natural or close to what our eyes see. And to upscale content to 120Hz, OnePlus adds a dedicated MEMC chip.

As shown in the image above, there are four cameras on the rear with 48MP Sony IMX689 in the lead. The 3X zoom on the phone is hybrid, and it remains to be seen how much of it is optical. Some new camera features include Audio zoom (as on Samsung phones) and 3-HDR that improves dynamic range in video footage.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 865 octa-core chipset paired with LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage (with Host performance booster). OnePlus 8 series phones come with an extra 100GB of Google cloud storage trial for 3 months.

OnePlus 8 series has more smoothness optimizations, is Amazon Alexa ready, and integrates Google’s Live captions. There is also support for latest connectivity options like Wi-Fi 6 and 5G, and a stronger haptic motor.

The 4510mAh battery finally supports wireless charging. And reverse wireless charging. Of course, 30W warp charge is still there. There is no dramatic increase in wired charging speed, and that’s perhaps to avoid a thicker and heavier battery.

OnePlus 8 – Slimmer, compact counterpart!

OnePlus 8 is the compact counterpart of the 8 Pro. It’s 8mm slim and weighs just 180 grams – Yay! The 6.5-inch display size might make it seem similar to the Pro variant, but here the aspect ratio is 20:9, which means the 8 is a tad more comfortable to handle.

Performance power-wise, both the 8 Pro and 8 are at parity. The 8 Pro several extras including more cameras, bigger battery, wireless charging, and IP Rating. But OnePlus has tried to ensure that people who go with the compact option don’t miss out on essentials.

OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z

The 8-series phones were expectedly accompanied by new wireless bullets. These bullets offer 20 hours of battery backup, support fast charging, are IP55 water and dust resistant, and come in four attractive colors: black, blue, mint and oat.
