While the launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro is highly anticipated in India, we have heard that the company has already started working on its successor and hopes to bring something new to the table with it. Since most brands these days start working on their new series almost 48 months before launch, OnePlus is no different. We have heard that the OnePlus 11 Pro will come with a one-of-a-kind camera module, that will rotate.

OnePlus 11 Pro Leaks

LetsGoDigital has shared some images of what they call it to be the next patent filed by OnePlus for the OnePlus 11 Pro. The images shared reveal a unique camera design of the smartphone. The new camera technology replaces multiple camera sensors and features a single big camera sensor with support for 180-degree rotation. The patent was submitted to World Intellectual Property Office in 2020.

According to the leaked renders, the OnePlus 11 Pro could be the first-ever smartphone to include a new camera module. The camera setup is said to use magnets, which will allow it to rotate the lens. The idea is likely to imitate the technology featured on digicams with a tilt display. Rotating the camera module could also improve video recording capability.

Looking at the size of the camera module in the renders, it is expected that OnePlus might give it a massive image sensor, which will improve low light photography as well as videography. Improved image stabilization is also expected, similar to Apple’s sensor-shift OIS technology, which comes on iPhone 13 series.

Since there will be a single lens, it is expected that this single massive shooter will perform functions of ultrawide angle lenses and telephoto lenses too. Physical and optical zooming will be available too and the usage of the same sensor might result in high-quality pictures on all modes.

According to LetsGoDigital, this camera will capture images from different angles, have an advanced anti-shake system, and will allow slow shutter speed too, along with being the 180-degree rotatable camera.

Take it with a pinch of salt for now

Brands like OnePlus register for quite a few patents every year, but only selective ones see the light of the day through real-world products. There are chances that OnePlus might just showcase this technology on a prototype and the OnePlus 11 Pro comes with a normal rear camera setup, similar to the OnePlus 10 pro. So, for now, take this information with a pinch of salt.
