OnePlus is on a smartphone launching spree since the first quarter of the year. According to the leaked timeline of smartphone launches planned by OnePlus, we are soon going to see around half a dozen OnePlus phones this year. Considering that, a new device, the OnePlus 10RT appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website confirming its imminent India launch. The smartphone carries a model number CPH2413 and will probably have a design similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro (review). The smartphone will be the successor of the OnePlus 9RT which was launched in January 2022.
OnePlus 10RT expected specifications
If rumours are to be believed, the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ processor. That does not seem like much of an upgrade keeping in minds that its predecessor ships with a Snapdragon 888 processor. Furthermore, the smartphone will most likely have two RAM variants including 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage.
It goes without saying that we can get to see an AMOLED display, a high refresh rate, etc. The smartphone may most likely get a triple rear camera set up too. In terms of battery, the OnePlus 10RT may get a 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. In simple terms, it is possibly going to be a watered-down variant of the OnePlus 10 Pro.
Nonetheless, nothing has been confirmed by the brand regarding the smartphone, not even the moniker. So, readers are supposed to take the information with a grain of salt.
OnePlus and its declining exclusivity
One thing which all the OnePlus fan fraternity is disappointed by the brand right now. Primarily, due to the fact that the brand is already halfway to killing its exclusivity.
Take the recent examples, the launch of multiple Nord devices and the exclusion of the ‘alert slider’ from a flagship device like the OnePlus 10R are proof of the above statement. And now, planning the launch of the OnePlus 10RT in the same year as the OnePlus 9RT.
The fan base of OnePlus is only hoping to get a decent device with signature features like the alert slider. We want the time back when OnePlus was a flagship killer phones producing brand, not the flagship producing one.
