Ola Electric has rolled out MoveOS 3.0 software updates for Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters. The update has come up almost 2 months after the scooters were announced. MoveOS 3.0 will be delivered to around 1 lakh Ola e-scooters across India via an OTA update. The recently launched Ola S1 Air will have MoveOS 3.0 in-built. The new software update will bring in quite a few new features like hyper charging, hill hold, and more. Let us have a look at all the new features the update will bring in.

Hypercharging

Ola Electric has now enabled a faster charging rate on Ola S1 and S1 Pro premium e-scooters. This will enable charging the battery for 50km in mere 15 minutes.

Vacation Mode

The Vacation Mode in MoveOS 3.0 will allow users to leave their e-scooters unused for up to 200 days without worrying about the battery being deep discharged.

Hill Hold

Hill Hold Control will help Ola S1 Series scooters on a steep slope. The feature will prevent the scooter from rolling when parked on an incline.

Advanced Regenerative Braking

The new feature will bring 3 levels of regenerative braking that are designed to suit different riding styles. It will have a Low setting for highway cruising, a default setting for daily commuting, and a high setting for heavy traffic conditions.

Party Mode

The new party mode will allow users to enjoy music as well as lighting that changes with the beats of the song.

Profile

MoveOS 3.0 will allow riders to construct their profiles and will allow different riders to save their personalized preferences on the same e-scooter.

Documents

The new software update will allow users to store their important documents such as Driving Licenses, Aadhar cards, PUC documents, and more and these will be directly accessible from the digital dashboard.

Moods

The Mood feature will allow S1 users to choose a specific mood that will customize the riding experience and the themes on the 7-inch dashboard. There are 3 moods to choose from- Bolt, Vintage, and Eclipse.

Proximity Lock/Unlock

This feature will allow the user to go keyless. The e-scooters will automatically detect the user approaching or moving away from the vehicle and will lock/unlock the EV accordingly.

The software update will take place in a phased manner. Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has also revealed that the company plans to launch an e-bike in India in 2023.  He claims that Ola is confident about coming up with an e-car in India in 2024.
