Nothing has launched the Ear (3a) with 32MB built-in storage, but not in India

Nothing has unveiled the Nothing Ear (3a), a new pair of true wireless earbuds that bring an unusual feature to this segment: onboard storage. The earbuds include 32MB of built-in memory (16MB + 16MB), allowing users to play music, record calls, and save short audio clips directly from the earbuds without relying on a connected phone.

The headline feature is Direct Call Recording, which lets users record phone conversations straight from the earbuds.

Nothing has also added Audio Snapshot, which records up to 60 seconds of audio with a single press. Users can later play these recordings back directly from the earbuds, making the Ear (3a) one of the few TWS earbuds to offer standalone recording functionality.

Key Specifications

The Nothing Ear (3a) packs 12mm dynamic drivers and supports Hi-Res Audio, LHDC, and Static Spatial Audio. It also features 45dB wideband Active Noise Cancellation, three microphones with AI-powered noise reduction, and an eight-band advanced EQ for audio customization.

Battery capacity stands at 55mAh per earbud and 500mAh for the charging case. Nothing claims up to 10 hours of playback on the earbuds alone and up to 42 hours with the charging case.

Other features include Bluetooth 6.0, an IP54 rating for the earbuds, and color options including Black, White, Yellow, and Pink.

The Nothing Ear (3a) has launched in select global markets for $99, but isn’t available in India at the moment. The company has not announced whether it plans to bring the earbuds to the Indian market.
