If you thought Nothing was all about their Phone 2, think again! Brace yourself for the incredible successor to the Nothing Ear 1 earbuds—Nothing Ear 2! These buds hit the Indian market in March and caused quite a stir because of their polarising design. Initially available in white, the rumors of a black variant turned out to be true! Nothing surprised us all by announcing the sleek and stylish black Nothing Ear 2. But here’s the catch—the black and white models are practically identical, except for their color. Here’s a quick overview of Nothing Ear 2 Black edition.

Editor’s note: As the hardware and tuning of the device remain unchanged, we invite you to explore our comprehensive Nothing Ear 2 review for detailed insights.

Design

The Nothing Ear (2) in a pristine white hue back in March, now a sophisticated black edition enters the scene, offering a fresh and stylish appearance with its combination of smoky and matte shades.

While the packaging of the ebony variant maintains a familiar semblance to its predecessor, switch to a black matte in color scheme provides a distinct visual contrast.

The opaque design of top case and a matte black opaque lip at the bottom. This deliberate design selection not only elevates the overall aesthetic opulence but also serves the pragmatic purpose of safeguarding the case against unsightly fingerprints and unsightly marks.

Nestled within the case, the earbuds are securely ensconced in resplendent housing crafted from top-tier, light black plastic, affording them an ethereal allure.

Audio Features

Let’s talk features, shall we? The Nothing Ear 2 headphones are comes loaded with an 11.6mm bespoke driver which delivers a powerful bass punch and crystal-clear sound. Plus, each bud comes with three AI-backed microphones for stellar call quality. And the touch controls? They’re a breeze! Tap once to play or pause your music, answer or end calls.

Two quick taps let you skip tracks or reject a call, while three taps take you back in your playlist. These little buds claim to achieve up to 40 dB of active noise cancellation, And if you want to switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode, simply press and hold one of the buds. It’s that easy!

Worried about missing out on the world around you? Fear not! The Transparency Mode lets you stay aware of your surroundings whenever you choose. Hear what’s happening around you while enjoying your favorite tunes. And to make your audio experience even more personalized, Nothing’s got your back with the Personal Sound Profile feature. Coupled with Clear Voice Technology, it ensures your music remains wind-proof and crowd-proof.

Advanced Equaliser

But that’s not all! Nothing has a treat in store for existing Ear 2 owners. Starting from July 6, they’ll gain access to the Advanced Equaliser and Noise Reduction functions through the awesome Nothing X app.

Durability & Battery

Durability is key, right? Well, the Nothing Ear 2 earbuds have got you covered. With an IP54 rating for water and dust protection, they can handle whatever life throws at them. And guess what? The charging case boasts an even better IP55 rating! These buds are built to last. Plus, they support Bluetooth v5.3 for seamless connectivity. Say goodbye to annoying dropouts!

Worried about running out of juice? Fear not! With the 485 mAh battery in the charging case and the 33 mAh battery in each earphone, the Nothing Ear 2 buds promise an impressive total battery life of up to 36 hours. That’s a lot of non-stop jams, folks!

Price in India & availability

Now, you can grab your own pair of Nothing Ear 2 buds in either black or white for an affordable Rs. 9,999 in India. The black variant is set to go live on Flipkart starting from July 21, but guess what? You can also pre-order them between July 11 and July 20.
