Nothing Ear 1 with ANC debuts for ₹5,999; Sale begins on Aug 17 via Flipkart

Nothing has finally launched something and that something is a TWS earphone named Ear 1. In the weeks and days leading to the launch, we had learned a fair deal about the earbuds including their neoteric design and details about their Indian pricing and availability. So, in today’s launch event, we saw Carl Pei (former co-founder of OnePlus) and engineers from the Ear 1 team expound on their reasoning behind the design and shine a light on various features of this new TWS buds.

Nothing Ear 1 Features

Ear 1’s transparent design lets you see the machinery inside them, which includes microphones, circuit boards, magnets. The buds are light at 4.7 grams and come with pressure-relieving vents and three swappable silicone ear tips. The product design is done in partnership with the Swedish company — Teenage Engineering.

Inside, the Nothing ear (1) packs an 11.6 mm driver and the company says it’s going for a balanced bass, mid, and treble performance. The audio is transmitted over Bluetooth 5.2 standard.

Ear 1 is also armed with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and three HD mics. These not only contribute to the calling functionality but also play a part in a layered ANC approach. For instance, there is Light mode for when there is not much noise, Maximum mode for when you are in a crowded or noisy ambiance, and finally Transparency mode to pay heed to your environment.

Nothing ear also brings perks like Find My Earbud, customizable Gesture Control, in-year detection, fast pairing, wireless charging support, and IPX4 water and sweat resistance.

It can run on a device with Android as well as iOS. It has got a 31mAh battery in buds that output 5.7 hours of playback time without active noise cancellation and up to 4 hours of playback time with ANC. In addition to this, there is the case that holds a 570mAh battery capable of eking out 34 hours without ANC and 24 hours of playback time with ANC.

Nothing Ear 1 Price and Availability

Nothing Ear 1 has been launched in India at a price of ₹5,999 and will be available on Flipkart starting August 17.
