TL; DR
  • According to Nothing’s official X (formerly known as Twitter) post, the Phone (3) will go official on July 1, 2025, at 10:30 PM IST in India.
  • The post that confirms the Phone (3) release also teases what appears to be a dot-matrix display, which will replace the visual notification system provided by the Glyph Interface.
  • The company’s CEO, Carl Pei, has already confirmed that the phone could cost around GBP 800, which is about Rs. 90,000 when converted directly.

The London-based consumer tech brand Nothing has confirmed the launch date of its upcoming smartphone, the Nothing Phone (3), which, according to reports, will be its first flagship. Initially, we got to know that the phone could arrive in the third calendar quarter, but eventually, the company finalized July to reveal the Phone (3).

Given that Nothing has already confirmed dropping the Glyph Interface from the upcoming handset, the tease that reveals the launch date also contains a glimpse of what could replace the fun yet short-lived LED lights at the back of the handset: a dot-matrix display.

Nothing Phone (3) Release Date And Time

According to Nothing’s official X (formerly known as Twitter) post, the Phone (3) will go official on July 1, 2025, at 10:30 PM IST in India. There’s a good chance that the phone will be up for pre-orders for the next few days, following a general release in a week or so.

In India, the device will be available exclusively via the e-commerce platform Flipkart, similar to the previous Nothing smartphones. Given that the Phone (3) is a full-fledged flagship, it will be priced significantly higher than the Phone (2).

The company’s CEO, Carl Pei, has already confirmed that the phone could cost around GBP 800, which is about Rs. 90,000 when converted directly. However, the company might struggle to sell its flagship at that price and may want to price its phone around Rs. 70,000 instead.

Nothing Phone (3) To Feature A Dot Matrix Display

Nothing Phone 3 dot matrix display

Last week, Nothing stated that it “killed” the popular Glyph Interface LED interface on the back of its numerical series. Now, the post that confirms the Phone (3) release also teases what appears to be a dot-matrix display, which will replace the visual notification system provided by the Glyph Interface.

From the few seconds of the teaser, it appears that the dot-matrix display could be rectangular, but the exact position of the module on the back panel isn’t yet known. While this might get mixed reactions from people who liked the Glyph Interface, a dot-matrix display is much more customizable.
