Nokia TV made an appearance on Flipkart this morning for a short while before it was taken down. As you may already know, Flipkart is partnering with Nokia for a brand new fleet of Smart TVs in India. The TVs would be made, distributed and marketed by Flipkart, while the branding would be of Nokia. Interestingly enough, this will also be the first time a TV will come equipped with JBL speakers.

While much of the details are kept close to the vest, let’s jog our memories with what we know so far.

Nokia Smart TV with Sound by JBL

The advert claims an entertainment experience like never before. Albeit a marketing phrase, there are some things that could pique one’s interest.

For instance, the TV or at least a model of it is expected to flaunt a 55-inch display with 4K resolution. Rumors add adaptive display dimming feature to the bag. Inside, it is likely to run on Android 9 TV.

While these are from the rumor mill, one thing that’s apparent is the JBL audio. This is thanks to Flipkart’s association with JBL’s parent – Harmon International. Making things more exciting for the ears will be DTS TruSurround Sound and Dolby Audio.

Lastly, there is a “Coming Soon” teaser. The Nokia TV will be unveiled on December 5.

This would be the second venture of this kind by Wallmart owned eCom giant as a few months earlier, it had brought Motorola branded TV lineup to Indian soil.
