In 2023, a few smartphone brands experience double-digit annual growth, and Motorola is one of them. The brand launched several affordable, mid-range, and flagship smartphones not just in India but worldwide, attracting more customers. Going forward, Motorola will focus on integrating AI into its smartphones and providing a better user experience on its S and G series of smartphones. Here’s what the company plans for 2024.

Motorola To Release A New Razr Phone In 2024

Per Chen Jin, the General Manager of Lenovo Mobile Business Group, Motorola’s 2024 product roadmap includes a new foldable smartphone. The Lenovo-owned brand will release a new Razr model with improved design and, most importantly, AI integration. Currently, Motorola sells some of the most affordable foldable phones in the market as part of the Razr 40 series. The regular Razr 40 costs around Rs. 45,000.

Lenovo’s AI For All Concept To Take Front Seat On Motorola’s Smartphones

Motorola will promote Lenovo’s “AI for all” concept in its foldable smartphone and its flagship Moto X series. Whether existing smartphones will get new capabilities or just the new models will ship with large language models. In 2023, several smartphone brands turned their focus to AI and related technology, converting it into user-friendly features that are readily accessible.

Motorola To Improve The Affordable Lineups

Jin also mentions that the “S series and G series will be improved [translated from Chinese],” implying that the company will launch new models in these lineups. He also mentions that 2024 will be the year Moto launches its full range of products, which might indicate that the company has a few other accessories or peripherals in the product roadmap. These devices could come out the following year. However, this remains to be a conjecture.

Above all, foldable screens and AI models were two major challenges for Motorola in 2023, and the brand looks forward to overcoming these in 2024. There’s a good chance that Motorola’s top-of-the-line smartphones will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC (4nm) next year. Further, we should also see some mid-range and entry-level models powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon lineup of processors.
